Original owners

Although in many cases the ownership history of a vintage banjo is lost over time, whenever possible I have included the names of the original owners of the banjos featured on this site. In some cases, I have also included names of people who, though not original owners, did own and use the banjo in question for a significant part of its history. With two or three notable exceptions, I have not listed the names of living owners.
