TB-1 #9190-41

Gibson's non-Mastertone style 1 underwent a number of design changes over the years, although the dark-stained maple remained a constant.  Shortly before style 1 changed to the one-piece-flange design in 1929, the relatively rare variant seen here was produced.  The rim is the "bracket shoe" type and the flange holes are hexagon-shaped; the peghead is sometimes referred to as the "Coke bottle" shape and the logo consists of "The Gibson" in silver silkscreen.  The resonator is bound on the back edge only and the tension hoop is grooved with flat hooks.
