Gibson MB-3 #8228-27

In the early years of Gibson
banjos, the mandolin banjo was extremely popular. This
style
3 instrument dates to late 1925 or early 1926 and shares the nickel-plated hardware, red-stained maple, and diamonds and
squares inlays of the TB-3;
it departs from standard style 3 specs, however, with its "The Gibson" peghead
inlay and its scalloped flange.
