*This banjo was part of a large shipment which also included guitars and mandolins, all noted as samples and sent to the mail-order company Spiegel, May, Stern and Company on September 11, 1936.  The ledgers do not record any other shipments to Spiegel, May, Stern and Company; this banjo was most likely tenor-necked but has not been included in the tabulation of banjos by neck type.

**This banjo was part of a large shipment which also included guitars and mandolins, all noted as samples and sent to the mail-order company Montgomery Ward on September 11, 1936.  The ledgers record shipments of banjos to Montgomery Ward from 1935 to 1939, but this is the only appearance of this particular model.  It was most likely tenor-necked but has not been included in the tabulation of banjos by neck type.
